Jam of the day- ‘Stay High’ by Jonathan McReynolds.

Hi!!!! Forget catchphrases! I am back!! Okay so, I know I have plenty ‘series’ i’m yet to finish (God help me maintain). But really though this just came to me like now now!

This passage!! I don’t believe how I could not have ever seen it or took the time to soak it up. But I did today and Lord! I fell in love with this ever mindful wonderful God. I mean, reading things like:

‘…even from a distance You know what i’m thinking, You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight, You know what i’m going to say before I start the sentence.’ – Psalm 139:2-4 (MSG)

Bruh! I had goosebumps, talk about TLC, attention….then this caught my eye:

‘Is there any place I can to go avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight?’ – Verse 7 (MSG)

‘……You’d find me in a minute, you’re already there waiting….’

‘….I thank you High God, You are breathtaking!…’

I am so envious of the way David expressed his relationship with the Lord, the way he portrayed their love for one another, it makes me feel more in love with Him. The king of glory, the creator, Jehovah over-do! The God who turns things around and makes all things fulfill His wishes, the great and mighty God! He loves a mere mortal so?! And I was still waiting for a text back to confirm if a human cared enough to give me one?

Dear King and Queen, no matter what you think you could’ve done to ‘upset’ God, I promise His love is greater than anything you could ever imagine, so Please do not limit our God to the quality of our minds.

Now I get a clearer picture when He told the prophet Isaiah ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth so are My thoughts are higher than yours and my ways than your ways.’- Isaiah 55:9 (NKJV)

Sometimes, I hide myself away from Him when I fall in sin when I could’ve avoided it, I beat myself up, I don’t know what to say to Him, I just imagine him like ‘Oh Chito! You could’ve done better’ BUT!! All the while I was thinking this I’ve now come to realize he’s actually saying ‘It’s okay Chito, I know who you are, that’s who I see when I look at you, I see a Queen, a priceless creation, stop beating yourself up and talk to me’. Sigh….

Like! David committed about 3 atrocities in one day, but that didn’t shift his position as the man after God’s heart, so wetin you feel say u don do for your small mind?

Queen, Open up your heart to the one who laid His life for you, the one who gave you those perfect features, that voice, that dream you have and watch him give your heart to King custom-made for you one that He knows will appreciate you for the masterpiece that you are.

King, Let the friend who  sticks closer than a  brother love you the way you deserve to be loved, let Him walk you through every area of your life, give Him that ‘hustle’ and you won’t have to lift a muscle and watch Him lead you to that Queen that will see and treat you like the King that you are.

Trust me, It isn’t really easy giving up control and sometimes it is confusing to understand how exactly to receive His love ( It was really confusing for me) but when you do…you will experience peace and rest and love that can only be described as extraterrestrial HAHA! (E.T)…

Yo! remember the way you loved that guy or babe that you all messed up and entangled in emotions? Good, now take just a little bit of the love and channel it to Psalm 139. Thank me later.

Now there are times we need something or we’ve been praying and it just ‘feels’ like nothing is happening or you think nothing really isn’t happening…Isaiah 55:9. (I’ll come back to my feelings series soon-ish) because trust me, God doesn’t work with our feelings, Fact, Faith, Feel. (Story for later). Just declare Romans 8:28 (Look it up jor) and rest knowing that your love is handling it and just focus on checking up on Him, Loving Him and telling Him how much you love Him, that’s all.

So, whenever the devil tries to sneak in some feelings of loneliness, stagnancy, disappointment or even the feeling that you are unloved or not worth the love you are getting..talk to your soul and say ‘I may not feel like it…but I have the apple of the eyes of the ruler of the heavens and earth, not a side chic, or side guy but the main the main’.

It’s amazing if you look into the bible what you’ll find.

Please say this prayer: ‘My loving Father, I thank you for your love, I know I may not feel or act like it sometimes but I am so grateful for it. Help me rest totally in you, I love you. Thank you. Amen’.
